An early start to catch the train from Bergen to Voss. From there I continued by bus through a dense fog to Lofthus and got off at the stop "Ullensvang kyrkje" ready to start the hike shortly after 10:30. After a short walk along the paved and later tractor roads, I arrived at the start of Kråkestien - total of 949 stone steps that would take me up to Stuasete (Stuvasete on the map). This was overall straightforward, although the wet and slippery conditions did not help. From Stuasete the trail continued towards Skriksete with the views gradually improving, however I also passed through various layers of fog that did their best to hide the views. When the terrain levelled off and continued east/southeast to Skriksete, I left the trail and in light rain started to make my own way south to Røvilseggi Nord . This did not present >>>

After taking the bus (and ferry) from Bergen to Odda, I got off at Jøsendal. From there I followed an unmarked trail up to and beyond a cabin. When the trail later forked and one of the two options even crossed the small stream, I thought that perhaps I had come across a trail that could take me all the way to the summit. The weak trail however soon disappeared and I was left with finding my own way. This did not present any real challenges and with a bit of route-finding, mainly to avoid the steepest areas, and partly following various animal tracks, it did not take long before the summit appeared in the distance. In the end, the summit was reached without any issues. If it has not been for the freezing wind I would have stayed longer to enjoy the excellent views from the cairn, but instead >>>
