Middle left and middle right images: On the summit of Mt. Sulafjellet, i.e. the peak usually referred to as Vardane. Lower left image: Descending from the mountain along the same route as we climbed. 2nd lower image: In front of the cabin called Rollonhytta [i.e. "The Rollon Cabin"]. The cabin belongs to a sports club called "Rollon". It is usually open a few hours on sundays, when it is possible to buy a meal there; and if you contact the sports club in advance it is possible to rent a room or a bed there, but it is not manned with receptionists and piccolos like a hotel, and you have to make your own food. 3rd lower image: On a bridge next to the cabin Taustuhytta. Lower right image: Back on the gravel road trekking back to our car.

I had on this day a really nice trip on the mountain Sulafjellet with my oldest son and my oldest daughter, aiming for the peak called Vardane. I also made the very same trip two months and two days earlier with my two sons and my cousin Savanna. On that day we had showers of hail and rain on the trip, and there was still a substantial amount of snow in the track. Even today we had just a very little bit of rain as we started on our descent back down from the mountain, but that didn't last for long; and the temperature was very different from what it was back in the beginning of june...
