First of all l would like to thank Duncan, for being our guide, as he did everything he said he would! That meant a lot to me as l had my two children's safety to think about. Day one started at 1:30pm via the Sirimon Gate. After a nice lunch we walked 7km up to Old Moses Camp. (Faster than we should have done) Day two was tough, 14Kms, climbing from 11,000 feet to Shipton camp site at 15,000 feet. Half way to Shipton camp we came over a ridge and got the most beautiful view of the peaks! We made our way through a valley along side a crystal clear stream and had a picnic lunch a few hours before reaching Shipton Camp site. We got to bed early after a lovely chicken and potato meal, as we prepared ourselves to set off for the peak at 2:40 am using head torches, there was a completely clear >>>

5 Days: Nairobi-sirimon down narumoru Day 1: Leave Nairobi to the park gate(2660m) for check-in and quick lunch, Start our climb through magnificent mountain forest, bamboo and giant heather zone before reaching the high altitude Moorland and our first hut(old Moses camp 3,300m) for dinner and overnight. This is a gentle trek that takes 3-4 hrs gaining an elevation of 680m. Day 2: Old Moses- Shipton camp (4200m) Trek up hill, forking right at the junction. After a water break, you continue on the track crossing Ontulili River before turning right contouring through the Moorland and crossing Liki North River and continue uphill to Mackinder’s valley from where there are panoramic views up the valley towards the Shipton camp. This camp is a surreal setting below the towering peaks and glacier. >>>

spectacular kilmanjaro trek

7 days trip in Kilimanjaro. We leave Nairobi for Moshi, we took a shuttle bus to Moshi, it takes 8 hrs to get to Moshi, in Arusha, a town between Namanga border and Moshi. From Namanga to Arusha it takes us about 3 hours then proceeds to Moshi. At this point we have a glimpse of Mt Kilimanjaro on the east side. Day 1-Entrance via Marangu gate an altitude of 1860m. We hike through the dense semi tropical rain forest to Mandara hut 2744m (9000 ft).Day 2- Hike through the rugged superb landscape, few meters from Mandara we see a huge crater, hike to Horombo hut3761M(12,335FT),3 hours, which is a distance of 13km we acclimatized to zebra rock, Day 3-our hike to KIMBO4J32M(15520FT) It takes us 6 hours to get Kibo hut. Day 1: REEDBUCK CAMPSITE From Nairobi drive for two hours to the Aberdares National Park through Treetop park gate. Wildlife is enjoyed in the Salient where it is both abundant and highly visible. The park is rich in alpine flora and fauna, and scenic features including magnificent waterfalls. We are en route to Kiandogoro where we spent the night at Reedbuck campsite. Day 2: HONI RIVER After breakfast, drive to the Karuru - Matubio junction to start 4-5 hours hike on the moorland track that is dotted with giant heather, tussock grass, open forest glades and rose wood to arrive at Honi river for overnight in tents. During the hike it's possible to see buffaloes, elephant and many antelopes. Day 3: NAROBI Have breakfast and drive to the base of Le Satima peak, hike for 2-3 hours to Le Satima peak >>>
