Batian is the highest peak of Mt Kenya. Normally the hike here is done with enough technical climb experience. Its located near Nelion of which is a bit shorter than peak Batian. Climbing Batian is determined by your energy and experience to hike mountains, this means if have experience in technical climbing you can do it within 1 day. For non experienced, 2 days uttermost. Overall days taken to hike Batian from the near by town is 6_7 days. For the experienced hikers,normally you can do it alone if you wish to, but its advisable to have a local guide to lead you direction.
