This trip was planned using Norgeskart 1:50,000, but no local knowledge. There is no path marked on my map. I climbed from Haukland by an old road and made a trackless approach up a rocky spur to Tuva. I was surprised to see a large path to my left, which I joined for the last 200m of climbing via Molheia to 931m peak. Continued to within 50m of 963m peak, but discouraged by military development and warning signs, so returned to 931m peak. Perplexed by the views of other people on the 931m peak that they were quite satisfied by their ascent and didn't consider it necessary to visit the highest summit. Descended by large eroded path in Durmålsdalen and old road to Utakleiv and coastal road back to Haukland.
Footnote: The communnication equipment on Himmeltind has been revised and is much less obvious now. Whether the access warnings remain in place is unknown.
