We started from Krosmyra parking and headed the dirt road towards Gråsteindalen. Cloudy weather, but sun lightened mountain walls every now and then and we saw a few beautiful rainbows. We started ascending Hesjedalshaugen from the end of the dirt road by a visible trail. Easy hike up, good views towards Hesjedalen, Eidsvatnet and the narrow valley between Fremsteskorene and Eidshornet. Fremsteskorene and Tverrfjellet were behind clouds all the time.
From the summit of Hesjedalshaugen we headed off-trail towards Mellomhaugen and then Grandehaugen. Easy going between the summits. It started to rain heavily when descending from Grandehaugen back to Korsmyra, so steep sections in the birch forest wasn't that enjoyable. Still really nice evening trip. The upper Gråsteindalen with Møllsvastnet and Grandevatnet looked really interesting and beautiful, those need to chacked next time!
Kolmen pienemmän huipun iltareissu Geirangarissa. Aloitus Korsmyran parkkipaikalta 620m korkeudesta, josta kävelimme hiekkatietä pitktin Gråsteindaleniin. Gråsteindalen on todella kaunis vuorilaakso, jota reunustaa pohjoisessa, lännessä ja etelässä 1800-1500m korkeat vuoret järvineen ja putouksineen. Varsinainen polku huipulle alkoi hiekkatien päästä ja nousi suhteellisen maltillisesti 1011m korkealle huipulle. Hienot maisemat pilvisestä kelistä huolimatta laaksoon ja Eidsvatnetille. Päätimme tehdä reissusta lenkin palaamalla matalampien huippujen (Mellomhaugen ja Grandehaugen) kautta takaisin parkkipaikalle. Grandehaugenilta laskeuduttaessa alkoi satamaan kunnolla ja poluton, jyrkähkö rinne koivikossa liukkaalla kelillä ei ollut täyttä nautintoa. Selvittiin kuitenkin loistavasti takaisin, joskin litimärkänä.
