Easy, but a prominent top in Townsville, QLD. Surrounded by the town itself, the views are 360 degrees. Several tracks go up, and you can even drive up. I started my tour from The Strand by the Tobruk Memorial Bath. I followed Wills street, then up Stanley street and then to the left on the Victoria street and Stanton terrace. The steepness of the hill is already starting when coming on to Stanley street. There is basically no let up, apart form a very short passage after one leaves the populated area and starts the Goat track. This is a Grade 3 walk, by Australian Hiking Trail Difficulty Grading System. Track is signposted and there are several longer stairs sequences. The last part follows the road to the parking lot, where one chooses the left or a right peak area.
