Privacy Policy
Glittertind Forlag AS built the Peakbook app as a Freemium app. This SERVICE is provided by Glittertind Forlag AS at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving this service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at Peakbook unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Passing data on to third parties
This is, for example, the case when data is passed on to the fulfillment of contractual obligations against the user or if data is requested by competent authorities such as law enforcement authorities. Personal data of users is by no means sold or passed on to third parties for advertising purposes or for the purpose of creating user profiles.
Information on collection and use
To use our service we require you to provide us with a working email-adress. Furthermore to make full use of the
app's functionality we need to access your location data (see also separate section below about Background location
data). Access to images and internal storage might also be requested.
Providing an email is a requirement for using the app. The other items are optional, but recommended to give you a
better user experience. The email-adress may be used to send relevant information from Peakbook by email to you, but
is never passed on to other parties. None of the personal information is used or analyzed by us in any way other
than what is needed to provide you with the service and functionality that the app offers. The app does not display
ads, and your information is in no way used in relation to any kind of advertisement.
The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Background location data
The core functionality of the Peakbook App is to allow you to record your acitivities as gps tracks and allow you to save these tracks to your user account on Peakbook. This requires the app to access your location in the backgroound. The access of location data in the background is only used for the purpose of assisting you in creating gps tracks of your activities. We do not use or analyse your location data for any other purpose. We do not share your location data with any third party, nor do we use it for advertising purposes.
Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.
This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services.
