Trip Summary
We started day 4 of this biking tour across the alps in Hallstatt and we knew that this day would be a shorter one ("only" to Attersee, which isn't all that far away from Hallstatt). We first followed the nice lake (on its western side) northwards and then continued along the Traun, which brought us to Bad Ischl quite quickly (about two hours of cycling). Since we were still in the Traun-valley, one last pass (not so very high, though) was still needed to get over to Attersee. We thus first continued to Mitterweissenbach, where we left the Traun-valley and set over to Weissenbach at Attersee, crossing a little pass in between. Once in Weissenbach, it really was not very far anymore to get to Steinbach, where we stopped this four days biking trip across the alps. In total, this was a wonderful trip to do (even though ascending to higher passes is definitely not easy)!
