My second winter tour going too this mountain. Once again, things didn't go as planned. We came from Gammelgården. Walked the 12 km to the root af the mountain. Started ascending, hard on well packed snow till we reached the big gap north east of the top. From here and up the sun and the previous hot days had heated the snow and the nights frost made it a slippery slope of blank ice. We went 100 meters up the ice face, but with only snowshoes and no steigeisen or ice axes it was to risky. We went back down, with only 100 meters to the top it was rather disappointing.
We still had one hell of a great trip with nice views and good moments. May we conquer this top the next time.
