Ever since my first visit to Scotland in 2007 I fell in love with the highlands and the mountains. Contending myself to view their magnificence from below on my annual trips, it would take til 2011 before I first ventured to do some walking on the Isle of Arran. It really sparked my interest in hillwalking, and after buying a book about Munro bagging, I was sold! The feeling of standing on a top, all the great views during the walks, the excercise and, I have to admit, the feeling of checking yet another mountain top as climbed on the list, all contribute to keep me going. Moving from the flat parts of Scandinavia to mountainous northern Norway in 2012 have given me the chance to do hillwalking right from my doorstep, what a bliss! The newly sparked vacation interest in hillwalking suddenly became a regular feature of everyday life :)
