A return to Masfjorden and Kvingo. No new summits this time around, but rather a short walk to Fjordblikk. I started by taking the bus to Kvingo and got off at "Kvingo kryss". This put me right at the start of the road to the parking lot for Fjordblikk. There were even signs that could be followed all the way from the main road.

After a nice short walk along the river and Nordkvingevågen, I ascended to the parking lot at Bakken (Solbakken on the map). Here they are currently working on building a new gravel road for universal access to Fjordblikk, to be completed by September. Thankfully the existing trails will also be kept, with only the first section from the parking lot being used by all as an upgrade of the already existing tractor road.

Fjordblikk had a very nice location on a small peninsula with great views across the sea from close by. Given that I had a bus to catch, I did not stay long before starting my return, following the alternative and slightly longer southern route back to the parking lot. Of the two options, the northern more direct route was perhaps a bit better, with overall less wet and muddy sections.

Note that there are also several signs for a 4.2 km roundtrip called "Rundt Kjeringatåna" that could be tried out if setting off more time for your visit.

Being the only passenger on the bus back to Knarvik, I of course started talking to the bus driver. It turned out that not only did he already know about peak bagging and Peakbook, he was even on Peakbook himself: sveinaage (Svein Åge Fyllingen)! We therefore had lots to talk about and seemingly arrived at Knarvik much faster than usual. Takk for (buss)turen Svein Åge og lykke til med fullføringen av Alver-listen! :)
