Long trek to the top of Bangladesh

Date:
04.02.2011

A very rarely climbed peak, Mowdok Mual was first discovered in 2006 as the highest mountain in Bangladesh. Still hardly any knows about this, and the information is still very scarce. My trip is the second recorded ascent by a foreigner, after the famous country-highpoint collector Ginge Fullen from England "found" the mountain in 2006. It's right on the border with Myanmar, and in the heart of the Chittagong Hilltracts, an area which Lonely Planet still have warning about.
