Ever since the earlier attempt to reach Kvitanosi was abandoned only 500 meters from the summit , I had been waiting for another opportunity. And with a near perfect weather forecast for skiing, I managed to convince a colleague of mine to join. Also this time the trip started from Gullbrå, but the light rain, wind and dense fog from the last visit was today replaced by blue skis and next to no wind. Quite cold when leaving Gullbrå (-11 degrees), but we quickly got warm when starting the steep climb and leaving the shade behind. We were clearly not alone in thinking that this day was a good day for skiing to Kvitanosi , as there were fresh tracks by several skiers that we could follow on our way up the mountain, and with 10-15 centimeters of new snow, we were more than happy to follow in their tracks instead of having to make our own.
