Totlandsfjellet/Ørnakulten from Eknes
Started by taking the bus to Eknes and the bus stop called "Eknes, butikken". Did not see any traces of the store the name of the bus stop referred to though. It should also be mentioned that the bus from Knarvik to Eknes follows all the minor roads and crosses multiple bridges with room for only one vehicle at the time. Hence progress was very slow. On the other hand, plenty of time for sightseeing.
From the bus stop I walked up to the main road where I, after crossing the road, arrived at the marked trailhead for Totlandsfjellet/Ørnakulten. The trail was then easily followed all the way to the summit. Clearly lots of work had gone into the making of this trail, with numerous (almost too many?) small wooden bridges to step on.
The visitor register was located inside a small cabin which also had its own lookout tower. I imagine the views used to be better though, as now the tree tops blocked most of the view.
After a short look inside the cabin I returned along the same trail. Towards the end I shortly started on the marked trail to Bjørndal, but quickly realized that I'd better play it safe in order to not miss the planned bus (1.5 hours to the next one), and therefore gave up on this trail and rather returned to the main road. Upon reaching the bus stop I still had some minutes to spare, and walked west to the next bus top before getting on the bus.
Overall an ok hike along a nice trail with a more interesting summit area than usual. The rather limited views, both along the trail and from the summit, probably results in this being my only visit though.
