Storenuvarden, Leitåsen and Loneheia
Started by taking the bus to Arna terminal and walking up to the end of Kleivadalen. Here I tried to locate a trail towards Litlenuvarden, but did not really succeed. But after walking through the bushes for 100 meters or so a trail appeared and I followed this up to the summit of Litlenuvarden before turning south towards Storenuvarden. Reaching the summit of Storenuvarden included a bit of climbing. Although I'm pretty sure this could have been avoided if going around the peak on the eastern side and ascending from there, I did not confirm this though. Nice views from the summit.
From Storenuvarden I continued south along a trail towards Haukheia. Here I turned west and followed a trail, and later a road, to the main road at Rødland. I then walked along this road down to Leitet, where I followed a gravel road towards Leitåsen. The summit itself was easy to locate, but did not provide much in terms of views and mainly consisted of tree stubs.
Next, I continued to the end of the forest road where I located an unmarked trail that seemed to head in the direction of Londalen. This turned out to be correct and when arriving in Londalen I started looking for how to get to the final summit of the day: Loneheia. Again there was no marked trail, but I started by walking north up Londalen towards the cabins on the eastern side of the road. Could only find various weak trail, but picked the best one and started up the ridge. The trail got better after a while, or perhaps connected with other better trails, and I could easily find my way to the summit.
The summit itself had no views though, so I quickly continued the decent to Espeland. The trail got weaker towards the end, or maybe I made a wrong turn somewhere, and I ended up having to cross over a small stream to get back to the road in Londalen. From there I located the nearest bus stop by Hardangervegen for the bus trip back to the city center.
Overall, an ok hike, but with only the first summit really being worth a visit. The hikes in-between the summits were also nice though, so not all bad.
