While renting a cabin with my sister and law and her family the three boys (My son, me and my nephew) wanted to hike up this "famous" hole to see where the murderers Birte and her brother supposably hid out while trying to evade the law in the 1700s. The nephew had to tap out after a bit because of breathing problems (asthma). My son and I continued up through a varied landscape of small rivers, marshes and stones. When we finally got the the hole we were not dissapointed. It was suprisingly large (and damp) and fun to explore. Hard to imagine that they might actually have hid out here as it wasnt home sweet home. We only stayed a short bit so that we could get back to the nephew waiting in the car. This trip I will remember for a while...

After renting a cabin and watching my fathers funeral on facebook live I needed to get some fresh air with the family. This ti på topp was a no brainer. I had to carry our youngest daughter up in my arms as I had forgot the bæremeis at home and our oldest daughter needed a bit of distraction to keep her mood and energy up but the trip went quickly. The sun shone and we had a nice little stop at the top. On the way down we got to see a suprisingly powerful whirlwind that made a menacing sound throwing large amounts of sand at us. When we almost got to the car our youngest fell asleep so i was pretty tired of carrying her when we finally got to the car. Thankfully she slept most of the way home so the trip back to our house went by relatively smoothly.

Finally had the energy to try this one. Thought it would be easier to first go up Nortinden and then take Laukviktiden (didnt look too bad on the map): The trip up the unpaved road to the foot of the mountain was nice. Got to see som cattle and everything was green with the sun shining. Up the mountain was mostly walking into the sun so I didnt see much. It went quicker then I thought it would. At the top of Nordtinden I took a little break and got a bit to eat before making my way down the pretty steep decline until i had to walk a little ways before meeting Laukviktinden. The hike up to the top was pretty steep but the views were amazing. I sat here a while eating some more before making my way down and around the backside of where I came from. Walking down the valley I saw 3 moose (to adults >>>

Ekebergparken Stolpejakt og hike

On our trip to Oslo I was able to get a bit of time alone to make a stoplejakt/hike/helleristninger walk on the eastern side of Oslo. Ive always wanted to hike though here and today was the day. The weather was nice, my orientation skills were pretty decent (found all of the stolpejakt posts) and to top it off I got to take these two "tops" in Oslo. After finding all of the stolpes and making both these tops I took a trip down to see the helleristinger (the main reason for the trip, everything else was just a bonus). When the trip was over i hopped on a tram to meet up with the family, satisfied that I got a little me time while on our Norway vacation.
