Did you know that only a couple of clicks away are a series of interesting summaries and rankings?

Some people have complained that they can't find the newest entries on Peakbook. The truth is, unless you follow other users, geographies or Peakbook elements, you are not displayed any new events directly on the front page. But a whole range of lists showing new events are available only a click or two away. Did you know that?

Rankings and summaries on Peakbook

From the Main Menu, select Rankings and Summary.

Once you have selected the Rankings and summaries the following page appears:

This is the screen you reach when you select rankings & summaries. It contains a selection of 16 different lists, giving you the latest entries to Peakbook or different up to date rankings. The list displayed when you enter the page will usually be the same as the one you watched when leaving this section the last time. All the lists can be scrolled down to view entries further down.

Here is a brief description of alle the 16 lists.
  • Latest trips: Shows the trips that were most recently undertaken. So if somebody registered a new tour 10 minutes ago that took place a couple of weeks ago, it won't show here.
  • Newest trips: This simply shows the latest addition of tours. The last registered tour is displayed on top regardless of when it took place.
  • Arcticles of lates trips: This is simply a filtered version of the latest trips, only showing reports with at least a 100 words.
  • Newest trip articles: The same as above, but with newest trips.
  • Newest users: This is a list showing the newest members on Peakbook.
  • Newest PBEs: This list shows the newest Peakbook elements.
  • Most popular lists: This shows the Peakbook lists ranked by the number of members that have joined them.
  • Biggest lists: Shows the public Peakbook lists with the most elements.
  • Most popular peaks: Shows the peaks with the highest amount of unique members that have ascended them. Multiple ascents by the same member is not counted here.
  • Prominence king: This ranking shows the total amount of prominence meters for all registered ascents both current year and in total. Multiple ascents of the same peak count.
  • Prominence unique summits: The same as above, but multiple ascents of the same peak count only once.
  • Prom. >= 100m: This ranking shows the number of times a peak with prominence of at least one 100 meters has been climbed. Multiple ascents of the same peak count here.
  • Prom. >= 100m (unique): The same as above, but multiple ascents of the same peak count only once.
  • New summits current year: Since the unique summit lists above don't reflect previous years on the current year statistics, this ranking shows who has the most new peaks or new prominence meters from peaks never visited before within the current year.
  • PBE created: Shows the members having created the most Peakbook elements.
  • Most articles supervised: Shows the members that are supervising the highest amount of articles.
